Thirteen boys. One summer. Cooperstown bound.
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam — for us, it means more than baseball. It means playing for something bigger than yourself, becoming better teammates, and becoming better people.
AMDG Baseball Team Vargas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth baseball organization built around the belief that the game should shape more than the player.
We expect our boys to compete hard, take care of each other, respond to adversity, and show respect in the way they play and the way they live.
They learn to be accountable. To serve. To lead. To understand what it means to be part of something bigger than themselves.
Baseball is where those lessons get tested… in the work, the setbacks, the friendships, and the responsibility that comes with being part of a team.
There are a lot of tournaments in youth baseball, but Cooperstown is different.
In summer 2027, our boys will spend a week in Cooperstown, New York playing alongside teams from across the country. For a 12U player, it's one of those baseball experiences you hear about for years before you finally get your turn.
For this team, the timing makes it even more meaningful. These boys have spent years practicing together, celebrating wins, working through losses, and becoming friends along the way. Cooperstown is a chance to celebrate all of it.
One week together, playing the game they love, before this chapter of their childhood changes.
The boys will do the work on the field. The rest takes a community.
